Animated Wood Creations brings life to exotic and domestic hardwoods. All creations animate when rolled on their wheels. Heads bob, legs churn, spines rise and fall, and all sorts of fun things happen.

Creations, below, are listed in order of their completed date.

Kangaroo – 9/3/2024 — I just finished putting the final touches on the marsupial. He is made from African mahogany, maple, and birch. As he is rolled along, his legs move and his body bobs up and down.

Stegosaurus – 9/4/2024 — I’ve completed the first dinosaur of at least four different types. Stegosaurus lives on his web page and is looking forward to your visit.

Dimetrodon – 9/11/2024 — The second dinosaur in the series of four, maybe more. He is made from walnut, roasted maple, birdseye maple, and has walnut pivoting dowels I turned on my lathe instead of the birch dowels I usually use.

Tyrannosaurus Rex – 9/19/2024 — The third dinosaur in the series. Body made from flat sawn roasted flame maple, legs and arms from quarter sawn roasted flame maple, all from the same tree. The wheels are from Birdseye maple, and the dowels are birch.
